Amb. OU Boqian is Secretary-General of Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat. She graduated from China Foreign Affairs University and received Master of International Policy and Practice from Elliott School of International Affairs, George Washington University. She joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China in 1989, and served in different positions at Department of African affairs, Information Department, Policy Planning Department and General Office. Her career in early years also includes the posts at oversea missions of China in Uganda and Australia. She became Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Grenada in 2013, and was Vice President of Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs in 2017-2021. She took office as Secretary-General of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat in September 2021.
SUN Xiao

Sun Xiao, born in June 1975, was appointed Secretary General of The China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) in December 2021.
Prior to that, Mr. Sun was Deputy Director General of the Cooperation and Development Department at CCOIC since 2015, and was promoted to the position of Director General in 2017. Before joining CCOIC, Mr. Sun played multiple roles at China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) within the Department of International Relations, working as Deputy Director of Asia-Africa Division and Director of International Organization Division. Mr. Sun graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University with a major in English Language and Literature and holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Renmin University of China.
HARA Ichiro

Ichiro Hara is Managing Director of Keidanren (Japan Business Federation). In this role, he is responsible for foreign economic relations. He has been deeply involved in the B7/20 (business counterpart to G7/20) from the outset. He is currently serving as Vice Chair of Trade Committee of the Business at OECD (BIAC). During over three decades of professional experience with Keidanren, he was also involved in administrative and industrial affairs. Under the Koizumi administration, he was seconded to the Cabinet Office to deal with regulatory reform. He joined Keidanren in 1986 after graduating from Sophia University.

HAMADA Keiko

Keiko Hamada joined the Asahi Shimbun in 1989. She worked in the AERA editorial department in 1999 and became Editor-in-Chief of AERA in 2014 after serving as deputy editor. In that period, she actively covered corporate diversity, gender, and issues for working women. She left the Asahi Shimbun at the end of March 2017 and launched the Japanese edition of Business Insider, an online economic media company that operates in 12 countries around the world. She left the post of managing editor at the end of 2020 and became a freelance journalist. In August 2022, she established the Digital Journalist EDucation Institute (D-JEDI). Ms. Hamada is a commentator on "The Shinichi Hatori Morning Show” and "Sunday Morning" and has given numerous lectures on diversity. She is the author of "Working woman and sense of guilt".
HUANG Shu

Ms. HUANG Shu is Deputy Director-General of the Liaison Department of the All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF). She is also Executive Member of the Board of Directors of the China Economic and Social Council and Council Member of the Chinese Association for International Understanding. She graduated from the University of Essex with an LLM Degree in International Human Rights Law and from the Beijing Language and Culture University with a B.A. Degree in English Literature. She joined the All-China Women’s Federation in 1990 and has served in different positions at the International Liaison Department. She was Director of the Division for International Organizations and Conferences from 2004 to 2008, Director of the Asian Affairs Division from 2008 to 2015, and Director of the America and Oceania Affairs Division from 2015 to 2019. She became Deputy Director-General of the Liaison Department in April 2019.
Kathy Matsui

Kathy is a co-founder and General Partner of MPower Partners, Japan’s first ESG-focused venture capital fund. She previously served as Vice Chair of Goldman Sachs Japan and Chief Japan Equity Strategist from 1994-2020.
Kathy was ranked No. 1 in Japan Equity Strategy by Institutional Investor magazine multiple times, she was chosen by The Wall Street Journal as one of the “10 Women to Watch in Asia” in 2007, and she was also named to Bloomberg Markets magazine’s “50 Most Influential” list in 2014. Her 1999 ground-breaking “Womenomics” research spurred the Japanese government to incorporate Womenomics into its 2015 growth strategy. Kathy has served on numerous government committees aimed at promoting diversity in Japan, and she has advised many companies and policymakers on global best practices in corporate governance. Her best-selling book “How to Nurture Female Employees” is based on lessons learned from her 30-year finance career.
She is an outside director of Paidy, and an adjunct professor at Kyoto University Graduate School of Management. She also serves as a board member of the Asian University for Women (AUW) Support Foundation, chair of the Board of Councilors (Japan) of the US-Japan Council, director of the Fast Retailing Foundation, member of the Council on Foreign Relations, The Nature Conservancy-Asia Pacific Council, the Bretton Woods Committee Advisory Council, Keizai Doyukai, and the Advisory Council for the Japan Society Fund Against Breast Cancer.
Kathy earned an AB, magna cum laude, in Social Studies from Harvard University and an MA from Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies. She is a second-generation Japanese-American and mother of two.

Ms. CHOI Myoungwha is the Founder and CEO of Blossom-Me/CMO Campus, the first educational program for female leader launched in Korea in 2016. With 27 years of industry experience in marketing, she served as advisor for government, led major social impact programs, and served in various executive positions at top companies in Korea. She was the first female executives at Hyundai Motor company, the youngest and first women executive at LG Electronics, and Senior Vice President at Doosan Group.
She is also a popular lecturer in broadcasting channels, writer of two best sellers (Secret of Today’s Marketing, 2002; Work with Self-Leadership, 2022) and a mentor for MZ generation in various organizations. She earned Ph.D in Marketing from Virgnia Tech, and teaches at Graduate School of MOT(Management of Technology) at Sogang University.

Ms. Xia Hua is the chairman of EVE Group and the Founder of EVE China Handicraft Workshop. She has consistently devoted herself to leading fashion attitudes by creating top-class clothes with ingenuity and constantly presenting Chinese national brands and traditional crafts on the international stage. She spent more than 28 years creating five independent brands, EVE since 1994, NOTTING HILL, Kevin Kelly, JAQUES PRITT and EVE CINA, which implanted Chinese-style philosophy of life and cultural connotations into fashion. Over the past decade, Ms. Xia Hua has focused on the protection of traditional Chinese handicraft and intangible cultural heritage. With a broad sense of public welfare, she has created EVE China Handicraft Workshop and built an international cultural platform for inheriting traditional Chinese handicraft.
HORIUCHI Mayuko

After graduating from university, she worked in the construction industry for 15 years. She joined her family’s plating factory in 2008 at 40.In 2011, she established Sensyo Co., Ltd., became the CEO, and took over the family business.
She has been promoting women’s activities since 2014 based on the idea that ‘there’s nothing you can’t do just because you’re a woman.’In 2015, she became the first female director of the Osaka Plating Industry Association, which was about to celebrate its 100th anniversary. In 2017, she became the chairperson of the Women Business Owners’ Group of the National Federation of Electro Plating Industry Association.
In 2021, she became a director of the National Federation of Electro Plating Industry Association.
Since 2019, she has been a member of the Central Minimum Wage Council and a member of the Osaka City Council for Small and Medium Enterprises.
HAN Mookyung
Former Chairman of Hyolim Group, Member of National Assembly of the ROK
Han Moo-kyung is a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea (PPP). After graduating with a degree in Library Information Science (LIS) at Hyosung Women’s University, Han continued to earn a master’s degree (’83) and a doctorate (’98) at Ewha Womans University. Han also worked as a lecturer at LIS at Hyosung Women’s University. After completing his Ph.D. program after the 1997 IMF crisis and seeing a golden opportunity for business, Han established a small automobile company that developed into the current Hyorim Group while serving as chairman from 1998 to 2020. From 2016 to 2018, she served as president of the Korea Women’s Business Association and did various activities for women’s businessmen. After which, she joined the National Assembly from May 2020.
Susana Balbo

Susana Balbo is former Chair of W20, founder and CEO of Susana Balbo Wines. With a career of over 40 years, Susana Balbo is the most renowned female winemaker of Argentina. Susana studied enology at university, becoming the first female winemaker in Argentina. In 1999, after some years working as a consultant both in Argentina and abroad, she started her own business to run a winery called Susana Balbo. Ms. Susana Balbo is a woman of a strong convictions and ideas. Being aware of the hardships that women face in the business world, she has been a founding member of the Argentine branch of the International Women’s Forum and, since 2009, she has been a member of Vital Voices, an NGO that identifies, trains and empowers emerging female leaders. In 2015, she was elected as a National Congresswoman. In her role as a congresswoman, she served as Vice President of the Commission for Small & Medium Businesses. In 2017, she was appointed as a chair of the Women’s 20 (W20), an international working group of the G20 dedicated to women’s empowerment. In 2018, Susana transitioned from her role in Congress to focus full time on her work with the W20. In 2019, she presented her team’s recommendations for the G20 Summit in Buenos Aires and continued to work with the W20 during the group’s leadership transition to Japan. Since then and until 2021, as former chair of the W20, she remained involved in later actions of both the W20 and the G20 EMPOWER, the G20 alliance for the empowerment and progress of women’s economic representation.

She moved to Hong Kong Bureau of CCTV in 2013, and since then she has done many exclusive interviews with politicians and entrepreneurs in Asia Pacific region. She became Deputy Chief and Executive Editor of Hong Kong Bureau in 2020.

Jiang Yan has served as Chief Public Affairs Officer at Enflame since May 2022. She oversees the company’s government and public affairs, strategy planning and standard system. Ms. Jiang has more than 10 years of experience in international cooperation and economic diplomacy. Prior to joining Enflame, she served as Vice President of Megvii and as General Manager of Microsoft (China), both in charge of legal and government affairs. Ms. Jiang is a member of Working Group on Internet Governance, United Nations, executive member of China Committee of 100 of Digital Economy, and council member of China AI Industry Alliance.
KATO Yuriko

Born in Chiba prefecture in 1974. Studied agricultural systems at University of Tokyo’s Faculty of Agriculture and received her master’s degree in Precision Farming from Cranfield University in the U.K. After participating in a NASA project, Yuriko returned to Japan and joined Canon Inc. until she got married and moved to Shizuoka. After working in the field of R&D for industrial machinery, she founded M2Labo inc. in 2009. Yuriko received the Grand Prix of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Award in the Creative Innovation Category at ACC2019 for her “VEGI-BUS” business, and also received the Women’s Challenge Award from the Cabinet Office in 2021. Specializes in regional business development, agricultural robot, and numerical analysis.

HyunJung Kim (金賢貞) is a Managing Partner of IBM Consulting Korea. HyunJung has had a 23-year career in consulting focusing on growth, innovation and transformation agenda for clients. She has been helping both private and public clients developing strategies, implementing initiatives, and managing entire transformation journey as a trusted advisor and recently she is concentrating on digital transformation across industries leveraging exponential technologies. Mr. BEK Bumhym has been posted as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) since September 2021.
Since he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the ROK in 1993, Mr. BEK has served various key positions and posted to the diverse continents and cultural areas such as Germany (2016-2018), China (2011-2016), Geneva (2006-2008), Uzbekistan (2003-2004), and Austria (2000-2003). He also served as the strategist in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at Office of the President. His other key careers included an adjunct professor of China Youth University of Political Studies and of Yonsei University, and Ambassador for International Affairs of Gangwon Province.
He studied Journalism at Yonsei University and also received a master’s degree in Administration Science, Deutsche Hochschule Für Verwaltungswissenschaften in Germany, and a Ph.D. in Political Sciences, University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
CHOI Jayoung

Jayoug Choi (崔滋玲) is a professor of marketing at Soongsil University in South Korea. She focuses her research on behavioral economics, startup business model, digital marketing, and gender issues in start-up business. Her teaching interests include Introduction to Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Research Methods, and Brand Strategy at the graduate and undergraduate level, and Business Modeling for Executive MBA program. She served as Executive Director of Startup Support Center at Soongsil University in 2013 -2020. She also served as the Vice Dean at the School of Business Administration, Soongsil University. Recently, she served as a member of policy board for Ministry of SMEs and Startups. She received a PhD in Marketing from the Ohio State University and joined The Ohio State University as a full-time lecture in 2001-2002. Her career in early years also served in Samsung Electronics as a marketing researcher in 2003-2006.

Ms. Rodora Turalde-Babaran has been Director of Human Development, ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Department of the ASEAN Secretariat from September 2014. Ms. Rodora is responsible for managing the overall, multifaceted operations of the Human Development Directorate under which are the four divisions namely, Health Division, Education, Youth and Sports Division, Labour and Civil Service Division, and the Poverty Eradication and Gender Division.
Ms. Rodora obtained her master degree in Development Management from the Asian Institute of Management and her Bachelor of Science in Social work from University of the Philippines.

The Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) is an intergovernmental organization established with a vision to contribute to peace, stability and prosperity of the East Asian Region. Upon the agreement signed and ratified by Japan, the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Korea, the TCS was inaugurated in Seoul, September 2011.
The TCS aims to serve as a hub for trilateral cooperation that encompasses the broad spectrum of sectors and actors. With a view to solidifying the cooperative ties among the three countries, the TCS will strive to ensure that trilateral cooperation remains dynamic and future-oriented in the coming days.
